Installing the Canon ImageRUNNER Driver 

If you're looking for the latest version of the Canon imagerunner driver for your multifunction printer, scroll down to the bottom of this page. Complete the Captcha, and press the Download button. Once the download is complete, locate the zipped folder. Unzip it by right-clicking on it and selecting Unzip or Extract. 

The extracted files will be subcategorized into three folders, Windows, MacOS, and Linux. Depending on which operating system you're on currently, choose the dedicated folder. 

When it comes to the Canon imagerunner driver installation itself, Windows users will find a series of executable files, which they can run by double-clicking on them individually. Similarly, MacOS users will find several dmg archives, which they can install by dragging the archive files over to the Applications folder and dropping them inside. 

Last but not least, Linux users will find a tar file, and a rpm file. To run a tar file, start by opening the Terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T). Next, access the file location with the cd command, and extract the files with the tar xjf command. Follow up with /.configure, make, and sudo make install commands. The process for the rpm archive is similar, and you can run it by using the rpm -i filename.rpm command (replace the name of the file properly).
