Founded in 1986, Plustek Inc. has contributed greatly to the software and hardware industries. As one of the leading companies in data extraction, Plustek switched its main focus from manufacturing its own devices (such as printers and scanners) to developing and implementing advanced ID recognition software.
While they still manufacture other scanning devices that can scan and preserve modern photos and such, there are still many users of the older Plustek scanner and printer models. One of their timeless models is the OpticSlim 2400.
That being said, if you need to update the OpticSlim 2400 drivers, here’s how to do it. Firstly, you need to make sure that your PC is compatible with the scanner itself. The OpticSlim 2400 model’s manufacture was seized back in the mid-2000s, resulting in poor OS support.
Moreover, OpticSlim 2400 is only compatible with older OS models such as Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, and Windows XP 32-bit. This means that there are no driver versions available for operating systems such as Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11.
However, this doesn’t necessarily mean you should throw the scanner away. Regardless of the lack of new drivers, your scanner can still work perfectly fine. The only condition that must be fulfilled is to own a compatible OS.
